古筝是我们广受好评的 Plectra 系列的第五部分，该系列探索了来自世界各地的拨弦乐器。古筝也被称为中国古筝，是一种古老的乐器，由 21 根弦组成，弦长而装饰性，木制琴身带有可移动琴桥，便于调音。

关于表演者
Qianqian Jin 是一位多媒体表演艺术家和设计师，对创新的声音设计和作曲有着强烈的热情。她八岁时开始接受东方古典训练，作为古筝演奏者，并在旧金山音乐学院接受了西方音乐教育，专攻数字作曲家。

2017 年夏天，她使用各种技术和工具录制了超过 50 GB 的古筝样本，以扩大这种传统中国乐器的容量，让更多作曲家可以使用。她目前正在为古筝发明一种定制的 midi 控制器，并经常使用带有各种传感器的 Arduino 板。

Details
Guzheng is the 5th installment in our acclaimed Plectra Series, which explores plucked stringed instruments from around the world. Also known as the Chinese zither, the guzheng is an ancient instrument comprised of 21 strings stretched over a long, decorative wooden body with movable bridges for tuning.

We collaborated with classically-trained musician and sound designer Qianqian Jin who performed both standard and extended articulations for this collection. The instrument is equally suited for authentic Chinese-inspired music as well as modern scores or soundtracks. Our wide range of audio demos showcase this flexibility across a variety of styles!

About the Performer
Qianqian Jin is a multimedia performance artist and designer with a strong passion for innovative sound design and composition. She began her Eastern classical training as a Guzheng player at the age of eight and received an education in Western music specializing as a digital composer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

During the summer of 2017, she recorded over 50 GB of Guzheng samples using various techniques and tools to augment the capacity of the traditional Chinese instrument so it is available to more composers. She is currently inventing a customized midi controller for the Guzheng and frequently uses Arduino boards with various sensors.
